The Bshirt

November 2019 - Birmingham World Trade Summit

The Bshirt is the UK’s only ethical breastfeeding clothing brand dedicated to reducing clothing waste and empowering women to breastfeed with confidence.

Started by two mums who wanted to wear normal clothes while breastfeeding, the Bshirt is deceptively simple – it’s a vest top that transforms a woman’s existing wardrobe to become breastfeeding friendly.

And it works – 83% of our customers say breastfeeding in their Bshirt makes them feel more confident than any other top.

Now trading in its 3rd year, the Bshirt is going from strength to strength. Its customers simply love the simplicity of the product and the ethics of the brand.

The Bshirt only uses organic cotton, fairtrade factories, and plastic-free packaging. The Bshirt is leading the way in ethical consumerism while helping mums achieve their goals.

One & Eight

May 2019 - GTR UK

One & Eight create; colourful, contemporary, minimalist, porcelain & fine metal jewellery, all uniquely packaged and presented in miniature glass bottles and elegant tins.

Every piece of porcelain jewellery is handcrafted and finished to the highest quality using sterling silver, filled gold or gold plated sterling silver yet offered to our customers at accessible prices. This combined with the unique packaging makes our jewellery the perfect gift.

Where it began:

Following a career in fashion buying & product development in London, Susie moved to Devon with a baby in tow. After being inspired on a ceramic course she started making jewellery for herself and friends. Combined with her love of beautiful presentation and desire to create something different, in 2016 One & Eight was born.

Inspiration

All the porcelain jewellery is unique and inspired by our coastal surroundings. It is  designed & crafted in our studio and workshop then combined with fine metal to create either earrings or a necklace.

Our team have developed innovative techniques to enable us to scale up our production and create large quantities of the porcelain designs.

This in-house design and production allows us to be responsive to sales and customer requests.

Another key element of our brand is the signature packaging. Each piece of jewellery is displayed in a miniature glass bottle or elegant tin. This has enabled us to penetrate the gift market and has been successful in differentiating our product from other jewellery.

Our ethos is to ensure the jewellery and packaging have minimal impact on our environment. The packaging is reusable and the jewellery is designed to weather the tests of time. We are also working with our suppliers to support them to send our components in minimal and biodegradable packaging.

Age Check Certification Services Ltd

March 2019 - Taking UK Plc to the World

Our state-of-the-art test purchasing app utilised by our panel of mystery shoppers can be utilised for testing physical locations or domains. It gathers an auditable assessment of the age gateways put in place to challenge young customers for ID or to ensure that online customers are subject to appropriate age verification. Linked to our E-Cert Certification Management System, our reports provide robust monitoring evidence for companies to use as evidence for regulators or law enforcement officers.

As age restrictions pervade around the world – and are getting stricter – we believe that our Export Action Plan we see the existence of Age Check Certification as a worldwide deployment, all in accordance with International Standards. Our methodology is easy to deploy, but challenging for a competitor to replicate. We aim to establish Age Check Certification in the G20 within five years.

It doesn’t matter what the restricted product is, where it is being sold, the channel it is being sold through or the method of delivery – ultimately the rules are the same worldwide – is this customer/user old enough to access this product, content or service? The methodologies being deployed to answer that question require validation and endorsement to be trusted by stakeholders. Be it age assessment by primary ID (like a driving licence), age estimation AI, ID scanning tools, social proofing or many other methods – we provide the independent 3rd party assurance that they work.

First Chop Brewing Arm

March 2017 - Food and Drink

First Chop Brewing Arm was established in 2012 when founder Richard Garner borrowed a local micro brewery and began brewing 400litres of beer per month. He delivered the beer from the boot of his car in his spare time whilst continuing to run his successful bar and restaurant.

Within 12 months demand was such that a larger brewery was needed and in July 2013 production transferred to a purpose built plant capable of brewing 5000litres per week in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Demand has again seen the need for a relocation and in March 2017 production begins in a new plant capable of producing over 20000 litres per week.

First Chop is now leading the way in gluten free craft beer production. With a full range of 10 gluten free beers available in 330ml cans and bottles* First Chop offers gluten intolerant craft beer lovers a real choice in what they drink. The beer is now available all over the UK and has begun making it’s first exciting forays into the international market.
